With many states now requiring early literacy screening to identify students at risk for dyslexia and other reading difficulties, educators need to understand what the data mean—and what to do next.
Join Dr. Brennan Chandler, a dyslexia researcher at Georgia State University, for an examination of the characteristics of dyslexia through three essential assessment purposes: screening, diagnostic assessment, and progress monitoring. Participants will learn how each type of data can be used to identify risk, clarify instructional needs, monitor students’ response to intervention, and inform decisions about instructional changes and referrals for further evaluation.
