K-2 Comprehension Support Bundle - 2021 Edition

The K-2 Printable Comprehension Support Bundle includes a collection of checklists, graphic organizers, bookmarks, posters, flip books, and other visual aids to support literacy common core standards for grades kindergarten through second. The printable PDF files are organized into categories to support students with the following: summarizing, making connections, predicting, inferring, identifying main ideas and supporting details, identifying text features, effectively using discussion prompts, and more. Teachers should model the use of graphic organizers and visual aids during mini lessons in an age-appropriate way for students.

These materials may be used with IMSE's decodable readers, but IMSE recommends using the tools to support comprehension of rich literature, including texts read aloud to students, audio books, and other sources, both fiction and non-fiction.
