SWIFT Reading Slide Package

This most recently updated fully digital version of the SWIFT Reading Program is the perfect tool for remote teaching and learning of high-frequency words (i.e. sight words). It’s an excellent add-on to Orton-Gillingam methods of instruction and is available through Google Slides. The program contains 296 high-frequency word flashcards, 164 high-frequency noun flashcards, 887 phrase flashcards, 55 sets of manipulation cards, with short stories to practice reading in context. The materials are organized into 65 sets in correspondence with the phoneme concept order in Sections 2, 3, and 4 of Recipe for Reading, beginning at the phoneme concept j.  Also included are assessments for appropriate student placement within the program and a lesson plan that fully correlates with IMSE’s Introducing a New Concept.
