Happy New Year! As we step into 2026, one thing is clearer than ever: it’s time to change the story for students, teachers, and districts across the country. This year, we’re doubling down on our commitment to ensure that every student has the opportunity to become a confident, capable reader.

A Year of Momentum for Literacy

Across the nation, educators are showing what’s possible when research-based practices meet dedicated teaching. At IMSE, we’re proud to be a partner in that work. Advancing literacy by empowering educators with research-based teaching practices isn’t just our mission—it’s our driving force for the year ahead.

In 2026, we’re raising the bar even higher. Our team is working tirelessly to innovate, improve, and expand the ways districts and teachers can access meaningful, effective literacy support. From enhanced training resources to powerful new instructional tools, exciting advancements are on the horizon.

“As we open the door to 2026, I’m more inspired than ever by the educators we serve,” said Jeanne Jeup, CEO & Founder of IMSE. “This year invites us to rethink what’s possible for every child learning to read. By changing the story for students through evidence-based instruction, we can move beyond struggle and uncertainty toward confident, successful readers. Behind the scenes, our team is advancing new ways to make literacy instruction stronger and more accessible, ensuring educators have the tools they need to create lasting impact. Here’s to a transformative year ahead.”

Mark Your Calendar: IMSE’s Spring 2026 Leadership Summit

One of the most exciting moments of the year is right around the corner: the IMSE Leadership Summit. After the success of the 2025 Literacy Summit, which brought educators from across the country together for a powerful one-day virtual event, this year’s Summit is leveling up.

The Summit is designed to spark meaningful relationships and conversations with district leaders, educators, and literacy experts. Keep an eye out for registration details soon, taking place virtually from April 22 to 23.

2026 is here, and so is the momentum. This year represents a turning point for literacy, for educators, and for the students who depend on effective instruction every single day. With new tools and expanded support, IMSE is ready to help districts and teachers create meaningful, lasting change. Together, we can rethink what’s possible in classrooms, accelerate reading success for every learner, and build a future where confident readers aren’t the exception, they’re the expectation. Let’s make 2026 the year we change the story for students everywhere.
