A 20-year dream, two teacher scholarships, and a commitment to Structured Literacy are transforming reading instruction at The Levites Academy in rural Uganda, proving that when educators have the right tools, literacy can change lives anywhere in the world.

Stark County CUSD #100 in Illinois is committed to strengthening early literacy through evidence-based practices. One of its three schools, Stark County Elementary, recently became the proving ground of a literacy approach that prioritizes foundational skills instruction, with results that have teachers around the district excited to join in.

GWRSD leaders were dedicated to helping struggling students thrive, and real change began when the district found an evidence-based literacy framework.

IMSE’s OG+ builds on the time-tested Orton-Gillingham approach by combining Structured Literacy principles with modern research, digital tools, and comprehensive classroom supports to bring the science of reading to every learner.

In 2018–19, Poway’s Special Education Department adopted IMSE’s Orton-Gillingham Plus (OG+) curriculum, ushering in a new era of student success.
